Learning Something New...

We started teaching the girls how to feed themselves with a spoon. We started a couple of weeks ago with mash potatoes. Next we moved to yogurt. Tonight we tried apple sauce with great success. Now when I get a food out that requires a spoon they expect me to hand them a spoon. Mommy or Daddy feeding them seems to no longer be accepted. *Sigh* ...they're getting so big.

Announcement!

The Nichols' Family is proud to announce we will be welcoming a new baby to our family in July. My estimated due date is July 13, 2010. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and officially done with the first trimester. At my February appointment I will have another ultrasound to measure growth and development and we will hopefully find out the sex of the baby.

A Belated Happy New Year!

So I finally got around to blogging with many new updates to share. The girls have been taking short naps but I think this is due to teething, so forgive me for not writing sooner, there just isn't enough time sometimes. So as far as teeth go Abby officially has 1(a top fang) and Chloe has 4 (two top fangs and two bottom middles). Neither girl is walking yet but Abby does take about 2 steps on her own here or there. She could totally be walking if she wanted to. Their vocabulary is growing more and more every day. Some of their favorites include cat, dog, Da-dee, Mom, eye, hi, burp and Chloe likes to roar while holding onto her little jaguar. They also have learned some sign language and can tell me when they are hungry or want their milk. They know the sign for more but while in their highchairs they prefer to grunt for more. We are still working on that one. They are in love with the pots and pans cabinet in my kitchen. Chloe loves to take out the lids and bang them ever so loud on the tile floor. Abby has learned to walk backwards while holding onto the back of her new truck. Chloe has perfected riding her new truck and I can't wait for the weather to warm up so they can ride the trucks in the driveway!

Well that is just a few updates for now. Stay tuned for some pictures and videos to be posted soon.
