Breaking News!

This just in from Jacksonville, FL...Chloe rolled over! About 5:30pm this evening Chloe rolled onto her side and rolled completely over with both hands free and under her. Good Job Chloe, we all knew you could do it!

Tummy Time!

Abigail continues to be my Rolly Polly girl. She rolls over any and every chance she gets...she really likes doing it right after she eats, equaling spit up. Not so much fun:( Chloe still has not completely rolled over yet and not because I don't think she can. She rolls onto her sides just fine...she just doesn't seem to be all that interested in rolling over.

Last night my Rolly Polly Abby woke up at 4:30am to proudly show us her skills. No matter how many times we rolled her onto her back again, she would just roll back onto her belly. I ended up putting her in her swing and sleeping on the couch. Hey whatever works at 4:30am is fine with me.

Made You Smile

Here are two pictures taken Saturday evening after church. We couldn't resist the bows during our morning trip to Walmart. The outfits were a gift from my friend Dora and couldn't be cuter! We received so many compliments at church that evening and we even made an elderly man's day. The gentleman said they brought back so many wonderful memories!

That's Just Sad...

I am (or was) a big fan of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8. I enjoyed tuning in weekly to see what fun adventures they were embarking on, seeing how the kids have grown or to see their spin on everyday stuff. I admit I have even read their book Multiple Blessings and I liked it. But this season has been much different...and has left a sour taste in my mouth. I understand it is their 4th season and certainly the PA couple and their adorable children have become celebrities of reality TV but I guess I just prefer the early days when Kate didn't get all dressed up for every show, the house wasn't 1.3 million dollars (and spotlessly clean...not by Kate) and when they were more relatable to the general public (oh and also when they didn't take a free trip every other episode). Don't get me wrong, I totally think they need the much bigger house for their 8 kids and the 24 acres to run and play but it's Kate's attitude that she is entitled to it. It makes me laugh when I see the episode where she berates Jon for not using a coupon and spending $50...like they don't have the money. I've read a lot of bad press about them lately including the part about the kids' Aunt Jodi and family friend Beth Carson (who practically wrote the book for Kate and hardly gets any credit) and why they are no longer on the show. It's sad to learn they were pushed away by Kate although not surprising. People are all over the new Octuplet Mom with the six other children and how she can't pay for them (I know the situation is much different and by no means do I think she has it all upstairs or do I agree with what she did) but Jon and Kate couldn't afford their 8 at first either. They seem to have relied on large donations from various companies and people such as Huggies, Gerber and Sam's Club to just name a few (they even had a website with a wish list before the six were even born) and not government assistance but they certainly are only where they are today because of TLC. Who knows how much they get per episode...I can only imagine. Plus the other appearances they make on news shows, at churches, toys and clothing advertised during their show and etc. Even with all of this I'm sure I will keep watching, after all it's the kids that keep me coming back...I never watched it for Jon or Kate....but it's just sad how fame can change what seemed to be a nice family. I only hope they are doing what truely is the best thing for their children, after all they are just that children and not a paycheck!

That's Just Wrong...

My what a nice butternut squash you have...

Joe picked this up from our local fruit and vegetable market and I couldn't help but laugh at it as it sat on our kitchen counter. The picture really doesn't do it any justice...it's really tall! I am making baby food out of it. The girls really like acorn squash so we will see how they like butternut squash.

I Love My Highchairs!!!!!

Joe put together our highchairs on Saturday evening and I officially starting using them on Monday. The first meal the girls had in the highchairs was for lunch on Monday and they ate carrots and apples. I feed them at the same time now so it only takes me around 30 minutes to feed them both which saves me about 30 minutes. Yahoo! The girls are eating meat now...not a favorite of theirs for sure. I mix it with a vegetable and that goes down much better!

Got Ants In Your Pants?

Today we took the girls to the park for the first time. We went to Memorial Park. It is Joe and my favorite park. It's on the river down near 5 Points here in Jacksonville. Joe and I packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the beautiful day...high about 77 degrees!!! While we were there I had to do a diaper change on Abby and discovered an ant had crawled in her diaper. It was dead when I found it in her diaper and didn't seem to bite her, so she is fine.

New Glasses

Joe and I got new glasses yesterday! This is Joe's first pair of glasses for reading/ computer. I was super excited to get new ones because my old ones were a few prescriptions ago and I hated to wear them because everything was blurry. I have been wanting new ones for at home! What do you think of our new glasses?

Double Trouble!

These are two very cute outfits on my very cute girls that I just had to share with everyone!

We're Home Again...

Although I love to travel (and have missed it since I was pregnant and after the babies were first born) it's always good to be home. We had a great trip to Largo this past weekend and enjoyed seeing Grandma and Grandpa Knupke, my Aunt Pat, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Laszlo & Aunt Laura and Uncle Greg. It was great to see everyone especially Aunt Pat who was visiting from Fort Wayne, Indiana. We arrived back to Jax about 11pm Sunday evening and had the girls asleep and in bed by 12:30am. That may seem pretty late to most of you but you see the girls slept every minute of the car ride all 4 hours, so getting them back to sleep by 12:30am was great!!!
*This is Chloe sleeping on the Grandpa lounger.
*This is Abby's favorite game...peekaboo!

Today I spent most of my extra time while the girls napped unpacking and organizing. I did some cleaning and rearranging in their closet and dresser making their room feel less cluttered! The closet is still jam packed but at least it is organized. On a side note, I can't believe it is already March. Time flies when your having fun!
